<< Go to archive. | Chicken Industry Attack by Johns Hopkins University Refuted by Credible ScientistsGeorgetown, DE - May. 02, 2012 -- In its continual attack upon our chicken industry, employees of the Johns Hopkins University recently announced the results of a so-called study that claimed that chemicals not even used in the chicken industry were found in small samples of poultry feather meal. Two nationally recognized scientists have responded to this assault with strong condemnations of the "study." Dr. Chuck Hofacre, a professor and director of clinical services at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, wrote this Letter to the Editor of The Baltimore Sun.
Dr. Hofacre's letter to the editor compliments an earlier commentary written by Dr. Simon Shane, an Emeritus Professor of the Department of Epidemiology and Community Health, School of Veterinary Medicine, Louisiana State University, that can be found through this link. http://egg-cite.com/editorial/single.aspx?contentID=1212
